Join ICB as we head south into Delaware to meet up with the homies from DC Bird Alliance on Saturday October 19th. There are limited seats on the bus so please purchase your spot today. The purchase includes a spot on the bus, lunch, and a short boat ride with Fisherman's Wharf. Purchase Ticket ($20/$25)

Enjoy a bus ride from West Philly to Cape Henlopen, Delaware as we meet up with the homies from DC Bird Alliance. We will enjoy some migration birding at the hawkwatch, followed by lunch, and a boat ride in the bay to look for some cool sea birds.

5:45am - Board Bus to Delaware

8:30am Arrive at Ferry Terminal

9:00am Enter Cape Henlopen State Park

12:30pm Lunch at The Wheelhouse

2:00pm Boat Ride in the Bay

5:00pm Board Bus for Home

7:45pm - Arrive Home

There will be restrooms and a coffee shop when we arrive at the ferry terminal prior to heading into the park. Will provide water and snacks for the ride down and back. We will traverse sandy and dirt trails around the hawk watch. Unfortunatley, the hawk watch does not have an accessible ramp and is only accessible by stairs. Binoculars provided and 2 scopes available.

We do prefer that folks ride the bus to cut down on multiple cars in the park, however, we do understand there may be situations where driving is more accessible. If this is the case, please choose the NO BUS option when registering and know that you are responsible for your own park entry fee ($10).

You must register for this event by purchasing either a BUS ($25) or NO BUS ($20) ticket. This event will not be listed on the normal RSVP page.

The boat route will be mostly in the bay with a section out and around the point. The waters will be subject to weather but are usually calms with a few small swells. If you are prone to motion sickness please prepare with dramamine or your preventative of choice.
