Join us on Saturday, June 22nd to explore and bird Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in Bucks Country PA. We will be taking a bus to the site from a meeting spot in West Philadelphia. The bus is limited to 24 folks and the event in total is limited to 35 folks (only 11 folks by car). Please choose your transportation option on the website when completing the RSVP. We prefer folks ride the bus to not take up too much parking at the preserve.
We will be leaving on the bus at 6:45am (free) and arriving at Bowman’s around 8am. Entry to the preserve is also free. We will bird from 8 to 11am and then have lunch under the pavilion from 11am to 12pm then head back to Philly. This event is sponsored in part by Bucks County Birders (BCB) and we will be meeting with some of them at the event.
The trails will be mostly paved or dirt trails. There are spots with sun and shade. The inclines are small to moderate. There are restrooms at the beginning. There are benches throuhout for spots to rest adn you will be led by bird leaders from ICB and BCB. The weather is likely to be warm so please dress in a way that is comfortable for you. We will be checking out some resident breeding birds for the summer and finding that ever present #BirdJoy
